About DB Blooms Design

Denny Berry, owner of DB Blooms Floral and Garden Design, has had her hands in the dirt for 20 years and designing flower beds, gardens, and landscapes for others since 2003 when she founded her small design company. The small size allows her to offer personalized attention. She likes to work hand in hand with her clients to give them all they are looking for in either a Landscape or a floral design.

During her tenure in London studying Floral Design at the Jane Packer Flower School, she also studied, and photographed English Gardens. This experience decided her to learn more about the history of Landscape Design as she turned her eyes to the larger scope of whole landscapes. She enrolled in the Certificate program in Landscape Design at the New York Botanical Garden. This 2 year comprehensive course of study has given her a solid background in the history of gardens from the Alhambra to Versailles to Hidcote and Moss Garden of Saiho-ji temple at Kyoto gardens of Japan as well as plant and tree identification, graphics, site detailing, grading, drainage and 5 studio courses in design, drafting, and drawing. All the while, she continued to run DB Blooms Design applying these skills, knowledge and understanding to her current work while moving her company forward.

Flowers are a passion that she happily indulges at every opportunity; from singular, simply gift bouquets and baskets to 75 table large events. Denny is also well-known for her commercial work with artificial planters of flowers and shrubs for large public spaces.
